The type of glass used for exterior glass balustrades (glass balcony, glass railing or glass fence) is the laminated tempered (or toughened) glass with glass thickness of 17.52mm to 21.52mm, height can be 1000~1200mm.

When application is for exterior glass balustrades, glass is the tempered (or toughened) and laminated glass with glass thickness of 13.52mm to 21.52mm, height can be 850~1200mm.

We also call tempered and laminated glass as safety glass, because it is manufactured in a way that if a glass panel breaks, it crumbles into minuscule chunks which remain bonded together in the laminated PVB of glass panel.

If the glass railing/fence has posts and handrail as supporting elements, the glass panel is not structural but used as infill glass panel, minimum thickness of glass is 11,52mm. We can execute this theory on staircases and glass balcony.

Glass thickness can be 10.76mm, 11.52mm, 12.76mm,13.52mm, 16.76mm, 17.52mm, 21.52mm.
Glass thickness below 13.52mm is preferrable for internal glass balustrade and glass railing.
Glass thickness above 16.76mm is preferrable for external glass balcony and glass fence.
Package is totally enclosed plywood crate, which can ensure glass can’t crushed and scratched during shipping.
